Leadership and the Role of the Human Resources Department
Determine what you would try to utilize in your leadership role(s).
Considering the information in the resources, write a paper describing the differences between leadership and management. In your paper, also include your responses to the following:
The article “Difference Between Leadership and Management” includes a chart that highlights some of the differences between leadership and management. Select 3 of these and give examples of how you have seen these demonstrated by leaders and/or managers in your workplace, church or other organizational affiliations. Also include examples of how you might personally focus on 3 of these characteristics to enhance your leadership.
What role does human resources play in leadership development?
How could you improve in your role as a leader/manager?
Your paper should be 500 to 600 words in length. Use proper spelling, grammar, and APA formatting and in-text citations, if used, for your analysis paper.
Use APA Level One Headings (See APA Style) to organize your answers so that it is clear to which question(s) you are replying. For your answer to Question 5a, use “The Value of Vision, Values, and Ethics” as your first centered heading. For your answer to Question 5b, use “The Role of Human Resources in Leadership Development” as your second centered heading. For your answer to Question 5c, use “The Leader/Manager Role and Me” as your third centered heading.
Your paper should have an APA title page and be in APA format. Make sure you reference resources, any articles you use, or the Bible appropriately when used as an information source, and include a reference page.
At least one citation is required.
