feminist critique

Write a 750-1000 word feminist critique of either Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s Herland or one of the novels by Louisa May Alcott, including Little Women, Behind a Mask or a Woman’s Power, or one of her pulp fiction thrillers she referred to as “Blood and thunder tales”, if you are interested in searching beyond the assigned readings for the class. In your essay, include at least two direct quotes from your novel and make reference to both Gilbert & Gubar’s essay “Infection in the Sentence” and Helene Cixous’ article “The Laugh of the Medusa.” You are also welcome to include outside sources if you like.
As with the Essay 1 Assignment, you are free to choose any focus you like in making your feminist critique; just be sure your essay includes a clear thesis statement and follows the guidelines for assignments as outlined in the “Essay Requirements”, included as an attachment with this assignment.
